Expressing agreement and disagreement

If you want to encourage someone to do something then maybe you can give them an incentive, or incentivise them to do something! This is a formal word that we can use to talk about giving people reasons to achieve their goals and rewards as encouragement toward certain behaviors. Another great piece of professional, business English vocabulary that you can use at work!

このPodcastは、日本語を勉強しているみなさんに向けたPodcastです。

今日は、配達について。

日本の配達について話します。
みなさんの国では、荷物が届くのは早いですか？
遅いですか？

日本は荷物が届くのがとても早いと思います。
住んでいる場所によりますが、Amazonプライムのサービスだと東京では、午前中に注文したものが当日、その日のことですね、当日に届くサービスもあるようです。あとは翌日配送とかもできます。それから日時指定もできますね。何日の何時から何時までとか選ぶことができますね。日にちは当日から1週間ぐらい先まで選べます。時間も会社によりますが、午前中、12-14時14-16時とか、今から在宅など、本当に細かく選択ができます。

配送方法にも選択肢が広がっています。
以前は直接の受け渡しがほとんどでしたが、家によっては宅配ボックスがあり、不在の時でもそこで受け取りができるサービスもありますし、最近では、玄関先に置いておいてもらう、置き配、というサービスもありますね。

これだけ便利なシステムですが、一方でもちろん良くないこともあります。1人1人のニーズに合わせすぎる為に、配達の仕事がとても大変な仕事になっています。不在の場合や、宅配ボックスがいっぱいの時は、配送会社の人は荷物を持ち帰らないといけないです。そんなこともあり、とても非効率になる時もあります。


日本は消費者が強すぎるので、会社も消費者に対して下からになりますし、消費者も上からになるようなところがあります。もう少しフラットな関係になると、サービスももっと柔軟なものになり、働く人にとっても、消費者にとっても良いものになるかもしれないですね。


ということで、ちょっと話がそれましたが、今日は日本の配送はびっくりするぐらい便利です！という話でした。
