지난 주말에 저는 친구들과 함께 서울 근처로 소풍을 갔어요. 날씨가 아주 맑고 따뜻해서 소풍 가기에 정말 좋았어요. 우리는 아침 일찍 지하철을 타고 한강공원으로 갔어요. 한강에는 사람들이 많았어요. 가족, 연인, 친구들이 모두 나와서 자전거를 타거나 돗자리를 펴고 쉬고 있었어요.

우리는 먼저 편의점에서 김밥, 과자, 음료수를 샀어요. 그리고 강 옆 잔디밭에 자리를 잡고 앉아서 이야기하며 점심을 먹었어요. 바람이 시원하게 불어서 기분이 아주 좋았어요.

점심을 먹은 후에 우리는 자전거를 빌려서 공원을 한 바퀴 돌았어요. 자전거를 타면서 강 위로 지나가는 배도 보고, 멀리 보이는 남산타워도 봤어요. 운동을 하니까 조금 힘들었지만, 오랜만에 친구들과 함께라서 즐거웠어요.

자전거를 반납한 후에는 근처 카페에 갔어요. 그곳에서는 커피와 케이크를 주문했어요. 창문 옆 자리에 앉아서 강을 보면서 커피를 마셨는데, 정말 여유로운 시간이었어요. 친구들과 사진도 많이 찍었어요.

해가 질 때쯤 우리는 집으로 돌아왔어요. 하루 종일 놀아서 피곤했지만 마음은 행복했어요. 다음 주말에도 친구들과 함께 소풍을 가고 싶어요.

The Harvard study on happiness, known as "The Good Life," began in 1939 and followed a group of 724 men throughout their lives to explore what factors contribute to a happy and satisfying life. The study found that close and fulfilling relationships, physical and mental wellbeing, resilience, and gratitude were all important factors for a happy life.

In contrast, the "other" happiness that is promoted through consumerism and social media popularity can have negative consequences on individuals' mental and emotional health. The constant pursuit of material goods and a perfect image on social media can lead to stress, anxiety, and a sense of inadequacy. The true happiness comes from satisfying interpersonal relationships, physical and mental health, and meaningful activities that give us a sense of purpose and meaning in life.
