The Tim じぁん!!!
It’s sunny today. In general, I’ve put a great effort into math. My dad attaches very much importance to mathematical principles, and English as well. So he has begun to read me incomprehensible things. Like today’s goal when learning estimation, was to indicate the relative advantages of exact and approximate solutions to problems and give answers to a specified degree of accuracy. It stalled me off for like a half hour just to get a full understanding of the idea. It was way over my head.

It’s sunny today. In general, I’ve put a great effort into math. My dad attaches much importance to mathematical principles, and to English as well. So, he has begun to read me incomprehensible things. For instance, today’s goal was to study estimation by investigating the relative advantages of exact vs. approximate solutions to problems. Also, he explained how to give answers to a specified degree of accuracy. It stumped me for like half an hour just to get a full understanding of the concept. It was way over my head.
I'm not sure "read" is the word you want. Did he really "read" to you, like from a book? Maybe "lecture" is the word you want?

This is getting silly. I didn’t do that sort of stuff until I was 18!
