Travis Walton; abducted by aliens. True story.

I want to talk about(TELL YOU) a story w(H)ich is very frightening(OR SCARY): The Travis Walton abduction.
It was iIn 1975, a logger ANDwith his crew were in a forest in Arizona. At the end of the day, they were getting(GOING) back home when they saw a glaring light across the trees. The guy who were(WAS - singular) driving the truck stopped it (not inncorrect but redundant) and then Travis Walton came out (of the truck?) to see what it (what does the "it" represent?  Perhaps "to see what was going on") was. They were struck by the sight: It was a flying saucer! Travis went (this is not wrong! but a better word would be a descriptive word such as moved, walked, tiptoed, etc) towards the UFO and all of a sudden, he was hit by a blue beam and(,) was like electrify (ELECTRIFIED) and hurled in the air. The rest of the group feared (FOR THIER LIVES or get rid of 'fear' and replace it with WERE PETRIFIED/SCARED) and fled the area. They went to see the local sherif and when they came back nobody was there...
Travis explains (EXPLAINED - past tense because he is telling the storry in the past) that he awakened and his vision was foggy. He could barely see (THE) 3 shapes around him. Then he could see that (EVENTUALLY HE SAW) it was like human foetus (FETUS) with big eyes (THAT HAD - becuase the iris is contained with the eye)and green iris(ES - assuming there are two eyes?). He was like paralized by the fear and was lied (LAID) on a table within the aircraft. 

I won't tell you the rest of the story(,) but it's a true story and I invite you to listen his (TRAVIS WALTON'S - correct pronoun but it is clearer if you use the proper name becuase he wasn't mentioned by name recently) interview on Youtube because the case is one of the most reliable of alien abductions.
By the way, a movie has been (WAS) released in 1993 : "The fire in the sky".

Couple points minor grammer points:

-  Talk about vs tell a story.  telling a story is actually "once upon a time in a land far away, there was a ...etc" (this is a sterotypical opening of an English fairy tale).  Talking about a story means to provide information about the story's background, about how it was written, about the characters, etc.  Other options would be to say "I'm going to tell you the story of..." or "I'm going to talk about Travis Walton's experience of being abducted." 

-  Get/Getting is a lazy/slang word and can ALWAYS be replaced by something.  Try not to use it.  (although you did in fact use it correctly!)

-  "it" usually represents the noun that was mentioned just before it.  If what 'it' is too far before, the reader has difficulty understanding what "it" is referring to.  ( I hope that wasn't too confusing!)

Otherwise is was very clear what you were trying to say and this is a great story.  Next time you see Travis tell him that I'm currently waiting to watch his interview with bated breath (a saying which means I am in suspense)!
