I don't know in what countries or areas people eat flies and mosquitoes, and feel so weird about eating those bugs. However, as far as I know, the soup made of mosquitoes' eyeballs is considered one of the most luxurious dishes in China. Are you would wondering how people collect the tiny little mosquitoes' eyeballs? Bats eat mosquitoes and excrete feces, but the eyeballs remains in the feces undigested. So people can collect take the eyeballs easily and filter them out from the excrement for the great dish. As for flies, it was told that the Inuit treated important guests with maggots in the past, and in Sardinia, an island belonging to Italy, cheese accompanied with maggots is a great dish.
