How to Describe Chinese Huge Numbers 1000,1001,1111,3254,10100...

I think there's a simple way to remember how the Chinese way to describe Huge numbers: No need to say numbers under 100, just notice that you English speakers do as make a higher grade with three zeros, such as: 1 thousand=1000, 1 million= 1000,000 But in Chinese, we use four zeros to make a further grade, such as: 1万=100*100=10,000; 10万=1000*100=100,000; 100万=100*1万=1,000,000; 1千万=1000*1万=10,000,000 :) isn't it very easy :)

一千(yi qian)一千零一(yi qian ling yi),一千一百一十一(yi qian yi bai yi shi yi),三千二百五十四(san qian er bai wu shi si),一万零一百(yi wan ling yi bai)

0=ling 零 1=yī 一 2=èr 二 3=sān 三 4=sì 四 5=wŭ 五 6=liù 六 7=qī 七 8=bā 八 9=jiŭ 九 10=shí 十 / yī shí 一十 (the latter was generally used for emphasis) 20=èr shí 二十 (2 and 10) 30=sān shí 三十 (3 and 10) … 90=jiŭ shí 九十 (9 and 10) 100=yī baĭ 一百 200=èr baĭ … 900=jiŭ baĭ 1000=yī qiān 一千 ... 10000=yī wàn 一万 100000=shí wàn十万 1000000=yī baĭ wàn 一百万 10000000=yī qiān wàn 一千万 100000000=yī yì 一亿 1000000000=shí yì 十亿 10000000000=yī baĭ yì一百亿 … chinese numbers are counted every four digit place

first you can pron: 012345678910----that 1unit(个) then 10s(十),100s(百),1000s(千),10000s(万), then your know 100000s(十万),1000000s(百万),10000000s(千万),100000000s(亿)。 so if you can pron 012345678910 and 十百千万亿,you can pron all the numbers in Chinese. e.g.11 =10+1pron the num direct 10、1;(no and)12 13 14...19 the same way 20=2×10pron2、10 (no ×);21=20+1pron20、1....... 30=3×10pron3、10;40 50 60 ...90the same way,200=2×100pron 2、100,so you will know how to pron300,2000,5000 ... and the next attention 101pron 100、0、1 2045pron2000、0、45 when “0”in the middle ,it should be read“0”
