If something or someone is boring, you feel bored. 'Boring' is a synonym of dull, uninteresting, monotonous and tiresome. The feeling of being bored is your reaction to things, people, and situations that are boring. Does that make sense? Here's a little exercise: 1. This book is ............ . I don't want to read it. 2. I like studying history, but my friends think it's ............ 3. I'm ............... . Let's go to beach and have fun. 4. There's not much to do at the park. We're always ............. when we go there. 5. Mr Brown is a really .............. teacher . I fall asleep in his lessons.

Both are grammatically correct. "Aren't you bored?" is like asking '심심하지 않아요?'. Boring is more like "재미없다", it's like asking a person "Aren't you 재미없다?" which might not make sense to the person you are talking to, unless you really want to ask the person that question.

I am bored = I have nothing interesting to do... I have nothing fun to do.. I am bored. I am boring = I am talking about something that people don't care about.. something that is NOT interesting.. people are falling asleep because I am talking about something that is not fun or interesting. so, I am boring people to sleep :)

If someone is bored, it means they themselves feel boredom. But if someone or something is boring, that means they or it cause others to feel boredom. Also, someone can "be a bore" if they cause others to feel boredom as well, it's just a different way of saying that person is boring. For instance: "The student was bored because the teacher's lecture was so boring." "She left the date early because the guy was such a bore! She felt so bored she would rather watch paint dry than listen to another word of his boring story." Usually we wouldn't report bore/boring/bored so much in one sentence but it's just to show how the word can be used differently :)
