What does it mean the phrase "Keep it square"? I understand that is not very common in spoken english. But I know that this uncommonly word has two meanings. The first one means "keep it simple" and the second one means "Good-Bye" that is not so common, but people can understand you If you said it. If I am right or wrong, or I am missing some other meanings of this word, please let me know.

You are right in the meaning but if I were you, I would never use it. It's strange

Well not keep it simple but "don't distort it" or "keep it the way it supouse to be" People use all kind of expressions to say By or hello, or OK nowodays just to sound cool EX: - "Do you want to go out? " - "man, i'm down!"

It's a strange way to say it. I think you are trying to say "keep it honest."
