Should we say "me too" or "you too" in response to" glad to meet you"? Thanks in advance!

A common response to somebody saying "Pleased to meet you," would be to say "Likewise," rather than "me too." And, to be honest, in answer to the exact question above, in everyday speech you are likely to encounter the response "you too," in response to "pleased to meet you ." The implied meaning is "pleased to meet you too," but the first three words get dropped.

Me too, because you're explaining that you ("me") are also glad to meet the other person. "You too" is used in different occasions. Example: "You look good these days" "Thank you. You too."

"Me too". It is the reply of "I'm glad to meet you". Therefore, the answer should be "me too".
