Alternative word for "relatable" I should probably say "synonym for the word relatable," but please ignore it :) I understand that this word is pretty common, but I just read some articles that say "the word relatable is not a proper word." Well, it's pretty common, so I'll still use it even if it's considered to be "improper." But now it kind of led me to think that it's a good time for me to start learning other words having the same meaning. I think its synonyms include "associate A with B" "identify with" "resonate." My question is, could you please use those synonyms in the following sentence as the replacement for the word "relatable" used to mean "showing sympathy"? ・(trying to encourage someone who is having a hard time dealing with his/her severe illness) Please don't worry too much about it. In a sense, your illness is something that makes you grow, you know, because now you can "relate to" other people having the same problem.
