(rather than be fired) is this correct?
Hi all,
I have this sentence
( He'd prefer to keep his job rather than be fired)
I wonder if this was grammatically correct?
I think it would be correct as well, it doesn't sound weird to me at all. Maybe just a slightly different implication of when it happened, but so small that I'm not sure it matters.

Will it be correct If I put "being" instead of " be" (rather than being fired)?
If not, could you explain it ?
