"Pie squared" sounds like a joke. It comes from "pi squared". "pi" (周径) is the Greek letter for the ratio of a circle's diameter (直径) to its circumference (周).

Pi is the mathmatical formula for the circumfrence of a circle. It is approximately equal to 3.14 but in reality pi is an imaginary number that has no end. To square any number, you multiply that number by itself. Since you cannot multiply an imaginary number by itself, you have to more or less pick a place to cut pi off, so you can multiply that number by itself.

It's probably "Pi Squared" instead of "Pie Squared". Just like Eliot said, Pi refers to a constant used in mathematics, "Squared" means a number that is multiplied by itself, so if it says "Pi Squared" it means Pi x Pi (or Pi^2) which is: 9.8696044 (approx.) Hope that helps!

When you get the opportunity to taste two pies at once. lol I'm not referring to the traditional pumpkin pie, apple pie, etc. lol
