some simple questions he is not tall,is he? he is not tall,isn't he? just to confirm.i see the first question,is to ask whether he is tall.and the second one is to suggest that he is tall obviously. my view of point is right? he isn't tall,is he? he isn't tall, isn't he? the first one is to ask whether he isn't tall.the second one to express he isn't tall.is my undersanding right?

first of all positive becomes negative and vice versa. he is tall, isn't he? he is not tall, is he? both has the same requests for agreement on opinion. can you deny that he is tall and not tall. btw can't be 2 negatives in sentence

He isn't tall, is he? = He's asking whether he's tall! (not looking at him) He isn't tall, isn't he? = Statement that he isn't tall, but checking with his friend for agreement. (looking at him)
