I feel like I'm more of a friendly face correcting your errors and pushing you to practice and talk. I think a lot can be done alone with books but what makes talking to a native special is that one goes beyond the (often boring) book and is able to interact and have an exchange with the person. I studied languages in school and for a year in university. I know Italian grammar well and I love grammar in general. I translated for years and got to realise how hard it can be to use the language but also how beautiful Italian is. I do not teach children or complete beginners. I don't have the expertise and don't want to ruin the experience for them!

I worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Valencia, taught privately in Barcelona, and even taught primary school children in Fiji as part of a volunteering project. In Oxford, I taught Italian to some very brave souls who took on the challenge. These days, I’ve moved fully to italki, which I love for its flexibility and convenience. Above all, I adapt to my students; I don’t expect them to adapt to me. My only real requirement is seriousness, simply because I want you to make real progress and I don’t believe in wasting time.
