I appreciate the principled professionalism, empathy, and understanding that Natalia brings to her sessions with me. She never misunderstands their purpose and always displays her enthusiasm for our continued engagement. She takes the trouble to provide me with a summary of the points we have discussed and, where needed, a list of questions that she would like answers to or might wish me to ponder. She herself prepares these summaries and lists that are written in her own words. That means she is quite different from teachers who merely cobble together formulaic exercises derived from other sources but who hardly themselves ever present material they have independently composed. If she can meet my expectations, given that I am involved in several literary projects that place a premium on the sophisticated use of English, she can, I believe, be of immense help to individuals learning English for the first time who aspire to a level of proficiency that native speakers have.
