안녕하세요. 제 이름은 박성현입니다. 그냥 현쌤이라고 부르세요. 저는 한국에서 태어나서 한국에서 대학원을 졸업하고 결혼하고 살다가, 새로운 삶을 위해 지금 캐나다에서 살고 있습니다. 벌써 6년이 되었습니다. 새로운 나라에서 이민을 하기 위해서 IELTS 영어 시험을 준비를 해봤습니다. 그래서 외국인으로 한국어를 공부하고 TOPIK을 공부하는게 얼마나 힘든지 잘 공감합니다.
저는 기독교 목사입니다. 저는 신학을 공부했습니다. 그래서 평소에는 교회에서 성경을 가르치며 목회를 하고 있습니다. 저는 목사로서 책을 읽고 가르치는 일을 계속해왔기 때문에, 기본적으로 가르치는 일을 좋아합니다. 추가적으로 한국 학생들에게 수학과 영어를 가르치기도 합니다.

캐나다에서 영어 공부를 하기 위해서 저는 2년 이상 언어 교환 모임을 만들어서 한국어를 가르쳤습니다. 처음에 호기심으로 시작했지만, 지금은 전문 한국어 교원 자격증을 취득했습니다. 학사 학위를 더 취득한 것이지요. 외국인을 만나고 한국어를 가르치며 외국문화와 다양한 관점을 배우는게 재미있기 때문입니다. 함께 재미있게 자신의 이야기를 나누면 좋겠네요.
To improve my English in Canada, I started a language exchange group and taught Korean for over 2 years. What began as a hobby turned into a passion, leading me to earn a professional Korean teaching license and an additional bachelor’s degree. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds, teaching Korean, and exploring diverse cultures and perspectives.
