Greetings to all. 🙌 If you are looking for an experienced and certified Tibetan teacher then you are on the right profile! I am a native Tibetan speaker and currently I am living in Dharamsala, India. I have completed my Bachelor’s Degree (Shastri Degree) in Tibetan Grammar and Literature, along with English and Buddhist Philosophy from Central Institute of Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarnath, Varanasi, and my Master’s degree from Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (Affiliated with Sikkim University) Gangtok, Sikkim. I am also working as a translator from English to Tibetan, and vice versa. My goal with teaching and life in general is to provide people with more value than they expect. 🙂Moi en tant que professeur
For over five years, I've been instructing Tibetan language online to individuals who aren't native speakers. Throughout this experience, I've covered a spectrum of subjects, ranging from Classical and standard Tibetan to colloquial speech, grammar, reading, and calligraphy, catering to students at all skill levels. With a roster exceeding 100 students, I've witnessed their progression from novice to adept, a testament to the collaborative efforts invested by both student and instructor. My commitment lies in demystifying Tibetan pronunciation, everyday usage, and overall fluency, tailored to each student's learning objectives.

Learning with me is fun and relaxed; 😃there is no need to be nervous about making mistakes. Your level, motivations, and learning style are more important to me, so I always keep that in mind. I am a relaxed teacher that is dedicated to your success in learning Tibetan. I will set you homework that will help you to solidify what you have learned. We can study videos, texts, audios, and other content you find interesting. studying Tibetan with Norbu these past two-and-a-half months has been very enjoyable. Day-to-day, it seemed like I wasn’t learning that fast. But looking back I know a lot now. The time has gone by very quickly.

I had my first trial lesson with Norbu-la, and it was great! I've taken just a few classes of Tibetan, but was really rusty and forgot much of what I learned. He was really adaptive in figuring out how much I knew, asking me about my goals, then suggesting a certain lesson plan. I hope to take more classes with him!
