Hi! Nice to meet you :)
My name is Maria, and I’m a native Hungarian speaker currently living in Budapest, Hungary. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to gain international experience through my studies and volunteer work. I studied Economics and Tourism both in Budapest and in the Netherlands, and I’ve also spent some time living in the USA and Italy as a volunteer.
I truly enjoy reconnecting with myself in international settings, learning about different people and cultures – and, in the process, discovering more about myself as well.
In my free time, I love going for a run, playing squash, hiking, or simply spending time with my friends.Moi en tant que professeur
As a community tutor, my goal is to create a relaxed, friendly space where you can feel comfortable practicing Hungarian. I know from experience how intimidating speaking a new language can be, so I’m here to support you and have fun along the way!
I would like to tailor our sessions to your interests and goals – whether you want to improve your conversation skills, learn useful everyday expressions, or just get more confident using the language.

My lesson with Mària was fantastic! It was my first Hungarian class, which I’m learning for personal reasons, and Mària has truly been the best teacher. She introduced me to basic conversational phrases and essential vocabulary that helped me start forming simple sentences. We also practiced pronunciation, focusing on the key structures of the language.
At the end of the lesson, she kindly shared some interesting and useful historical facts about Budapest and Hungary. Hungarian is definitely a language worth learning—and with a teacher like Mària, you can’t help but fall in love with it.
