Sion Jones

Siôn is a brilliant, encouraging and calm tutor. His lessons are well organised and prepared. I have had four lessons with Siôn everyone has been 5⭐️

This was my first proper lesson with Sion. The first one was a trail lesson. we went through the present tense and a bit of the past tense in a relaxed and interesting way. I found myself speaking more Welsh and feeling more relaxed about speaking it. One day I will be fluent.

Siôn is such a patient and encouraging teacher. I am just a beginner at Welsh but I learned quite a bit of vocabulary and pronunciation in my first lesson. Siôn created a safe space for me to try out pronunciation and new phrases and I wasn't afraid to make mistakes. I appreciated how he did not have me simply repeat phrases - he asked me to apply what I was learning by creating new combinations of words or recalling vocabulary from memory. This activated my brain more and is helping the learning stick. Diolch yn fawr iawn, Siôn!

I enjoyed my first lesson with Siôn very much. Siôn is patient, encouraging and gives a calm, safe space for learners to use the Welsh they have while chatting about their interests. He offers explanations and other geirfa (vocabulary) which i enjoyed, and he answered any questions I had about words and different uses and meanings. I gained hyder throughout the lesson and am looking forward to the next one. Thank you so much Siôn!
