I've tried tons of spanish teachers in the past and Juan Jose has helped me more in the past 7 months of working with him than years of school and studying! He is fun to talk to, always corrects your pronunciation in a kind way so you can actually learn, and makes very personalized lesson plans. Simplemente, Juan Jose es lo mejor profe en todo el mundo!!!

OK, I'll admit it – though I like speaking Spanish and want to get better at it, I don't like the fact that I make a lot of mistakes as a learner. For a long time I ignored everybody's advice to find a native speaker to practice with. Hey, then I'd have to make my ignorance public! But I broke out of this rut after a friend told me that she had talked with Juan José in an italki lesson and found him helpful and very encouraging. I signed up for a trial lesson with him, and after about 15 minutes, I realized I was enjoying myself — far from laughing at me because I wasn't perfect, he was really on my side . I decided I'd stick with it, and we're still working together after several years. I still make mistakes, but I've got the confidence to make progress. Juan helps me with grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation, and we always find interesting things to talk about. Whether you're a complete beginner or you have more experience, you should check him out!

I can't recommend Juan José enough frankly, I've been his student for three years now and I've learned more Spanish than I have in years of classes in school! He rocks
