Hi! I'm Katie. I'm originally from Nottinghamshire (Robin Hood country!) and after twenty years of living and teaching in Cambridge, I've just moved back here. I teach British English to adults and I really enjoy meeting people from other countries and helping them to meet their goals. In my free time, I like reading, watching TV, puzzles and crafts. I also like learning languages myself. I've had a go at French, German, Spanish and Polish although not to a very high level!Moi en tant que professeur
I teach mostly general English to adults. I also help students to prepare for Cambridge exams, such as First (FCE), Advanced (CAE) and IELTS. I'm a qualified teacher with a certificate and a diploma. I've been teaching English since the year 2000, first in Poland for two and a half years and since then in England. I'm a friendly and patient teacher. I want to help you to speak more confidently, fluently and accurately. I can also give you suggestions on how to practise your English between lessons or provide homework if you like.
I offer:
* conversation lessons - practise your speaking and fix your mistakes - a different topic each week.
* grammar lessons - clear explanations, exercises and spoken practice.
* reading or listening lessons - learn though texts and videos.
* exam preparation lessons - FCE, CAE and IELTS.

Katie is a mild-mannered teacher who knows how to help a student to learn a natural and polite way of speaking. She corrects mistakes without interrupting the conversation and her explanations of grammar are clear and easy to understand. Moreover, the topics she chose for the lessons are interesting. I enjoyed talking about them very much. Through her lessons I got confidence in speaking English!
