Hi, I'm Michela, an Italian Language teacher with DITALS certification. I'm a native speaker living near Florence. In 2008, after a degree in Modern Literature, I earned a PhD in Cultural Anthropology in Paris and Siena followed by research and teaching in Italian universities on the role of food in culture. Since 2009, I've been giving Italian Language and Culture courses to adults, including managers, asylum seekers and university students. I offer courses for any level and Language Certification - like CILS, CELI and the new B1 level test for obtaining the italian citizenship - or interest whether tourism, work, study or simply a passion for the language.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
All courses will be tailored to your specific needs. I use to share a googledoc to take notes during the classes and a google-drive folder to collect all the course materials. For Certifications specific classes and materials will be provided. Classes can emphasize conversation, vocabulary, written Italian for academic and professional use. After a week on holiday to relax and unwind, we had a lot of things to talk about this week,leaving ourselves little time to discuss the homework I had done. However, the topics we discussed give me a lot of opportunities to practise my Italian vocabulary and gain more confidence with general conversation. The homework has been very interesting too. I never thought I would learn so much about Italy during a language lesson. Part of this is because Michela has given me the motivation to want to learn more about many different subjects relating to Italy. This week it was as diverse as the great scientist Galileo Galilei and the tragedy of the dam at Vajont in 1963. I would recommend anyone wanting to learn Italian to use the methods Michela uses and use the language to also learn new things.Not just the language, but also improve your knowledge of other subjects that interest you.But learning them by reading Italian books, watching videos in Italian etc…
