Hello! My name is Clark.
I come from the USA and live in France.
Learning languages to me is about understanding and appreciating different perspectives and different cultures. Of course it's also about achieving certain goals in life - getting into a university, improving your career, moving to a different country. Learning French has helped me do all three of those things. I want to help you do what you want or need to do by helping you with English.
Besides teaching writing, I love playing and writing music.

As a writing instructor, I give an intense focus to reading and understanding the student's text. This deep reading is the often difficult but necessary step to making student writing shine. I add my perspective to the student's in order to strengthen their writing and to make it as irresistible as it can be. The writing coaching I give is very intense, and students generally see immediate results.
In conversation courses, I take a much more relaxed approach, trying to build confidence and fluency in the student. I like to follow conversations to unexpected places and to share authentic moments with students. That being said, I adapt to the student's needs at all times.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
When I read your writing, I take the time to understand what you're saying and where you're coming from. I work meticulously to make sure students get the most for their money. At the same time, I expect students to put in effort to make real, concrete progress in their writing.
In English conversation, I try to get my students to the point where they forget they're speaking a foreign language. I want the lesson to be enjoyable, so I take note of corrections and give them at the end, but don't allow them to disturb the flow of conversation.
I like to use articles to get things flowing. I also love to use creative writing in my classes.Mes ressources d'enseignement
