I like to teach in a way that encourages children to speak, to use and adapt the language they know to communicate effectively.
I love teaching children and am a strong believer in teaching using implicit learning, the natural way that children learn their mother tongue. By adding a little vocabulary and grammar each week in a fun and natural way, it's amazing how quickly children's language skills and confidence grow!
I am lucky enough to have taught some students for years, some for nearly 500 lessons! I have watched them change from not knowing a word of English, to being able to read and communicate effectively, I truly feel that they are my international family!Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
I like to teach story lessons, in which we will read a level appropriate book together and then talk and answer questions about it. We will also practise a little appropriate grammar in a fun way or by playing a game.
We will practise any pronunciation issues as they arise with silly exercises, singing or tongue twisters. I especially find that pulling sounds from words the children speak correctly into other words, is an incredibly effective way to break bad habits!Mes ressources d'enseignement
