My name is Angie, I am from Athens, Greece and I am an English-Greek tutor and translator.
For the last years, I have worked for tutoring websites and language academies teaching Greek and English and I am passionate about Linguistics.
I live and work in Madrid and I speak Spanish fluently.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work(West University of Attica) and I am currently working as a teacher.
As a social worker, I have experience working with people from various backgrounds.
I have worked with young people, people with disabilities, and people with mental health issues.
I have a diploma in English and Greek Braille.
This experience has given me the advantage of learning how to be encouraging and empathetic so I can keep motivating my students on their language learning journey.
Being a native Greek and having learned two widely spoken foreign languages has given me a great understanding of how the process of learning works and how rewarding it can be!Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
I aim for my lessons to be focused on how the student learns in the most effective and fun way!
So, depending on you, your level, and goals we can plan our classes accordingly :)
As a teacher, I use my own audio files, e-books, and personalized homework assignments to make sure you stay in touch with your target language. Of course, I am open to suggestions and I would be glad to look for other material that would help you better.

Angie is the best. I started lessons two years ago not knowing anything. Fast forward to today's lesson and we just chatted in Greek for an hour. Of course I'm still learning and had to ask about some words, but I've learned so much! She is so helpful and wonderful!!

Angie is an excellent teacher. She put extra time into preparing for our lesson after messaging me beforehand about my level and goals. Her materials were helpful and professional quality. She was supportive and encouraging. She had good advice about how to learn the language. She speaks and has studied several languages, so she knows the process and challenges of learning a language. I recommend her to anyone who wants to learn Greek!

Great discussion on Spain, Greece and Language learning. Maria Angeliki is a wonderful tutor and great conversation partner. She is very good at figuring out where the student is at and what would be most helpful for their language learning goals. I definitely recommend lessons with her!

Angeliki has all the qualities of an exceptional teacher. She has a very good intuition of when I understand something and when I don't, so we can quickly focus our attention to what is important for learning. Angeliki is incredibly patient. Despite my (many, many) mistakes, she takes time to explain, correct and give meaningful feedback on how to improve. Angeliki uses a variety of resources, ranging from dialogues, to songs, to grammar exercises but is adaptable and willing to experiment with ideas and suggestions. She is encouraging, positive and friendly, which makes lessons fun, enjoyable and memorable. Thank you for the great lessons so far. I'm looking forward to more in the future! :)
