Hello, my name is Ruth - I'm a native English speaker from the United Kingdom, although I now live in Portugal and am currently learning Portuguese, so I completely understand what it's like to learn a new language! I enjoy photography, cooking, reading, travelling, meeting and talking to new people and discovering their cultures.
I am a qualified TEFL teacher with a degree in Business Law and a business background that covers marketing, design and technology so I'm sure we can find plenty to talk about.Moi en tant que professeur
I have a neutral British accent, am very patient and speak slowly and clearly; I am also easy going and happy to chat on lots of different topics; if you are a beginner, don't worry, we will soon have you communicating with confidence.

Lessons are student centred, customised to your learning needs and requirements allowing you to develop your confidence and ability. I encourage you to speak as much as possible during the lesson and will provide practical feedback and suggestions on areas for improvements. We will use a mixture of materials from everyday life including news articles, videos, images, company brochures, manuals and diagrams along with any other material that you may wish to include. Depending on your needs we can spend time in discussion, role play, structured conversations, presentations, listening practice or pronunciation.

My daughter loves Ruth! It's a great pleasure to practice English with this teacher! She helps to choose the topic of the lesson taking into consideration the interests of her pupil. Her speach is very clear, she always explains unknown words. I do recommend Ruth for those who want to practice English!
