Hi there! I'm Danson, an American, Texas born and bred, who's been living, working, and studying in Germany for the past few years. Education-wise, I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in History (minor in Philosophy) and later received my CELTA while living in Mexico City. Currently, I'm writing my Master's thesis in American Studies at the University of Leipzig. I love to cook - Tex-Mex, American Southern, Mexican, whatever - and run. Lastly, I'm a dedicated writer of historical fiction and poetry inspired by science.Moi en tant que professeur
In the past, I primarily taught in person. My first few years in Mexico, I spent my time teaching Business English at places like KPMG and Novartis. Later, I decided to test the waters at a high school where I got to focus more on history, philosophy, and creative writing. After moving to Germany, I moved online which has allowed me to concurrently pursue my MA in American Studies.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
My classes tend to be communicative and, when applicable, task based. Learning a language is about getting the student to speak, and some of my strengths as a teacher are my patience and enthusiasm. I hope to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to make mistakes because they provide the way forward for you and I. If your goal is exam preparation, we will be spending our time in class focusing on the speaking aspects and writing critique (you don't want to pay me to watch you read).
