I wanted to improve my Spanish fluency but was reluctant to move out of my comfort zone to start conversations with an iTalki community tutor. Well, Claudia became the answer to my prayers that I would connect with just the right person. Now, after almost 500 sessions with her, I have never even considered working with anyone else. Claudia is always "on" and perpetually enthusiastic. She is kind, expressive, and empathetic. She has a great sense of humor. Her corrections are offered discreetly and with compassion. In short, Claudia is an absolute gem!

Mary is a wonderful teacher. She comes to every lesson prepared to teach, but also to LISTEN. She wants students to feel comfortable speaking Spanish and asking questions. When I'm having an off day, Mary will easily course correct and change lesson plans to suit my needs. She is understanding, compassionate, and a joy to work with each week. Gracias por todo, Mary!

I’m so glad I found Claudia! I have tried many tutors on italki and other programs for conversational practice. She is exceptional and I already know that my skills will improve with her. Unlike many tutors, she comes prepared with a plan in case the conversation isn’t flowing. This means no time is wasted. There was adequate time for me to talk and she knew when to jump in to correct me or clarify my ideas. She also keeps notes to review and assigns homework as well! If you are serious about improving your Spanish, I highly recommend her. She is my new favorite teacher.
