Hi! I'm Sylvia.
I'm a qualified Hindi language teacher from India with experience of teaching students from the US, UK, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Middle East etc.
Apart from teaching, I'm interested in travelling. I am an avid reader and a have a great passion for learning. I am excited to teach my students Hindi and through that experience showcase our Indian culture and in turn, learn about theirs.

As a Hindi teacher with a postgraduate and an M. Phil degree, I have successfully taught this beautiful language to thousands of students over the course of my career. With over 25 years of teaching experience of students across different proficiency levels from basic to advanced, I have enjoyed watching my students learn Hindi and converse with great ease and confidence.

I place importance to the students requirements of learning the language based on which I determine the right teaching methodology which will ensure the students best progress in the least possible time. My lessons are a combination of conversation, grammar, story reading, dialogue, roleplay, debates, translation exercises, precis writing on various topics. I vary my pace as per my students proficiency in the language so that they don't feel stressed, are relaxed while mastering the language.
Through my interactive lessons and use of multimedia, the student gains the confidence to handle any real world situation where his language skills will be tested and sound like a professional.Mes ressources d'enseignement

The stars aligned me perfectly with Sylvia! I have always had a desire to learn Hindi and the only teacher that was meant to fulfill this desire so perfectly was Sylvia!
I started my lessons about a month ago and today I read my first short story in Hindi!! Unbelievable!! Her ability to teach, encourage and guide me has been nothing short of incredible!
Not all teachers are created equal, and Sylvia by and large stands out. She is a professional to the core and I am so blessed to have found such talent to achieve a life goal that I didn't think I could conquer.

Sylvia is an incredible Hindi teacher! I've studied with many language teachers over the years, and she is one of the most gifted I've worked with. Since I began, I've experienced rapid progress under her guidance. She is multilingual herself, and has great patience as you practice and learn. She comes to every class prepared with a lesson plan that makes sense, and builds on what you have already learned. She has exceptional understanding of Hindi grammar, and how it relates to English, giving her the ability to explain complex topics in ways that make sense. I highly recommend her services if you're learning Hindi, and have no doubt you will get the results you're looking for!
