Dear fellow language learner!
I am a German and English teacher from Berlin, and I have a passion for speaking new languages. While I have had (and continue to have) many amazing language learning and acquisition experiences, I have also experienced dreadful traditional language learning in the classroom and I know how it feels to
- struggle with the memorisation of grammar tables
- be anxious because you can't remember the contents of a class
- be frustrated when you find out that you aren't able to speak even though you have finally memorised the grammar table.

I use brain friendly learning methods which help you get a grasp of German in a stress-free manner, and also help you remember what you have learned more easily! You may have heard of Krashen's theory of using comprehensible compelling input for learning, or of the Growing participator approach (GPA). If not, don't worry. The main idea is that I will speak to you in the language you are learning and use gestures and pictures to help you understand. If you get the message, you are improving! Just let your brain do the rest. I see learning as a team effort - improving your skills is not just up to you, but also up to me and the method we use.Mes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
- I will describe pictures or stories in German and ask questions
- We can have simple conversations from day 1, without the stress of grammatical perfection
- I will break the language down in a logical and interactive way
- We will learn vocabulary using pictures and a lot of repetition
- Lastly, I encourage you to use my scripting lesson - you write a script in English or try the best you can in German. It can be about your family, yourself, your hobby. Anything that is relevant to you and that you would like to be able to express. I will then correct (and simplify) your script, and send you a voice recording so you can read along. CeOLT - Story Learning - 2023This is a 16 week programme by Olly Richards enabling me to teach any language I know well enough online. The programme was conducted in english. It includes 6 evaluated practice sessions where participants teach a student, general teaching theory and also has a business building aspect.

Annie is a wonderful teacher. Her classes are always fun and informative. She is very supportive and kind. I highly recommend her. Her method is very good and I believe it is the best way to learn a new language. I always look forward to having more classes with her!

I had a great first lesson with Annie. I am taking an A2 German class and wanted more speaking practice. She speaks at a level I can understand and introduces new vocabulary in a natural way. I think I will see a lot of improvement!

Annie is a wonderful teacher. The time in the class flew by. She is very kind, patient, and very helpful. She definitely gave me lots of confidence to speak. Her teaching method was awesome and it really suited me well. The class was super fun and informative, I can't wait for the next class!
