Hello😃 I am Shu(しゅう). I am Japanese and living in Tokyo.
I like movies, music and drawing picutures very much.
I like to learn language as well. I learned how to speak in English without studying or living in foreign country. I know beauties and difficulties of learning languages. I would love to share the tips with you in my class.
My major in university was Japanese linguistics and I learned how to teach Japanese for foreign students.
I also have 3 certification of Japanese teaching. I completed 420 hours of training as a Japanese teacher and passed the Japanese teaching ability exams of Jees and Zenyokyo.

For the general Japanese study I use the textbook such as GENKI, Minna no Nihongo(みんなの日本語) or Dekiru nihonngo（できる日本語）.

Shu is a very kind teacher. He meets you at whatever level of Japanese you're at and is very patient with you. If you don't understand something, he is quick to help you understand by showing examples, explaining it in more detail, or spelling it out in Kana for you. When you do get something right, he is very encouraging. He also shows in interest in your interests, and uses those in his lessons to help connect with you the language. He trained me quite well for the N5 test! He is very easy to talk to, and is also flexible with his schedule which is incredibly helpful.

Shu's lessons are fantastic, and I am always learning and pushing my limits in a great way. Today we did 2 new grammars but still Shu was incredibly patient with me as we worked through them. I really enjoy these classes and will continue to come back. Thanks Shu!

I've had lessons with Shu Sensei for 1.5 years now, and have improved significantly in terms of my overall Japanese speaking, writing, and reading capabilities. Shu Sensei has always been incredibly patient, thorough in his explanations, and always knows how to make you feel comfortable with expressing yourself. Looking back at the homework I wrote at the start of my lessons to what I write now, I can really see just how much I've improved under Shu Sensei's guidance. When I travel to Japan etc. I'm also shocked by just how much better I've gotten at speaking/listening, mostly due to my lessons with Shu Sensei. I thus highly recommend him to everyone!
