* Hello, my name is Carlos. I was born and raised in Venezuela, but currently living in Chile.
* My classes will be mainly conducted in Spanish, but I am able to communicate some concepts in English.
* I am a certified Mechanical Engineer by trade, but more recently have made the transition into programming with Python and Java.
*NOTE: I use the FREE version of ZOOM, which means that if you choose that platform for our lessons, the session may be terminated by Zoom after 40 minutes of lesson time, with a 10 minute window to reset.
For uninterrupted class time, I suggest the following:
For 30-45-60 min lessons --> Skype, GoogleMeet or ItalkiClassroom.
For 30 min lessons --> ZoomMoi en tant que professeur
I am a certified Spanish teacher and I am a very patient and understanding teacher and will help you to the best of my ability with your goals. My lessons usually focus on the listening and speaking aspects of the language; however, if you so choose, I would be happy to offer grammar lessons as well.
If you have ever been interested in learning Spanish, I encourage you to take the leap as learning a new language can be very rewarding. Whether you are starting from a basic, intermediate or advanced level, I look forward to having conversations that include: current events, hobbies, things you see on the internet and much more. I offer speaking and listening lessons where students are encouraged to choose a topic of interest for conversation practice. If you are interested in grammar lessons, I use a variety of exercises to help you understand new concepts that you may not always find in your native language. During our lessons, I note the needed areas of improvement and provide feedback.

Carlos is a very empathetic, intelligent, and patient teacher. I couldn’t ask for anyone better. He is full of energy, motivation, and passion, and he has a very unique and effective way of teaching. I started with him as an absolute beginner, and now, two months later, we can have two hours of conversation, including questions and answers. I absolutely recommend him as a teacher.

I have been taking lessons with Carlos for around 6 months now and it has been a rewarding experience to learn with him. He is patient, kind, funny, full of energy and has a vast knowledge of the Spanish language.
My learning looks a little different than most others as I'm a foreigner living in Latin America, but Carlos took my Spanish level from basically zero to a low level B1 inside of three months.
Was it a lot of hard work on both our parts? Yes - I would never lead you to believe otherwise, but Carlos patiently worked with me and I would never have gotten this far without him.
Without hesitation, I would recommend Carlos to anyone interested in learning Spanish. Whether you are looking to learn something new, improve your skills, or have specific goals in mind - this is the man that will get you there.
