こんにちは！わたしはKen(けん)です。 I live in Tokyo but was born & raised in Shiga (famous for Lake Biwa, the biggest lake in Japan) in western Japan. After graduating Osaka University of Arts, majoring in broadcasting, I’ve worked as a manager in movie theaters in Tokyo. Now I write movie review articles on the net and help Japanese aspiring directors so that their movies will be shown in theaters. My passion is movies...Godzilla, kaiju, horror...my favorite directors are George A Romero, John Carpenter, Ishii Teruo and more. I also like Japanese history, especially the Sengoku period. I've been living in Tokyo for more than 20 years but friends say I still have a bit of Kansai accent.Moi en tant que professeur
I'm friendly, fun, patient and easy to talk to. I encourage students to talk without being shy or afraid of making mistakes! I can only speak/understand little English and my lessons will be conducted in all Japanese. I read a lot of books on history and have a wide variety of interests, so I can help intermediate & advanced students increase vocabulary.

**My lessons are for intermediate & advanced students.** My lesson will be conversational. We will talk in Japanese about movies, history, anime, Japan's subculture etc...I will help you with the vocabulary and phrases. But the most important thing is to have fun!
* For lessons, I prefer to use Skype, or Zoom (for 30 mins lessons only). Thank you.
中・上級（B1 - C2）向けの会話（かいわ）レッスンです。レッスンは日本語（にほんご）です。映画（えいが）、歴史（れきし）、特撮（とくさつ）、怪獣（かいじゅう）、Scifi、アニメ、日本のサブカルチャーなどについて楽（たの）しく話（はな）しましょう！

ケンさん has been wonderful for the ten months and 40 lessons I have had him as a teacher. He was happy to discuss any topics I brought up, from education to history, to current issues and beyond, and always had interesting stories and viewpoints. I would strongly encourage any prospective student to take a lesson and see for yourself.

I had so much fun talking to Ken-san! Ken-san used basic phrases that I could understand. If you are interested in entertainment and media, I would recommend taking a lesson with Ken-san!
