My name is Hiromi from Okinawa Island, Japan. I was born in the beautiful city of Kanazawa and I also lived in Tokyo, Yokohama and Nara. I have a master's degree in sociology and have been a counselor and a communication trainer for the last 30 years. I also have written and translated several books and articles about family, gender, etc. I attended many conferences in Japan and other countries, in which I learnt a lot of things to empower women and girls. I am very passionate about teaching and learning languages. I have a national certificate to teach English at schools. I speak with a standard and classy Japanese accent. I can teach you daily Japanese conversation or formal conversation, starting from beginner’s level all the way to advanced depending on your needs. Firstly, Hiromi sensei was really interesting to talk with as she has lived in different areas of Japan and is a very creative person.
In our first session we had a relaxed conversation followed by reviewing some content, Hiromi sensei was able to review the content I had shared ahead of class and suggest content with a more appropriate reading level.

We took turns reading our loud and discussed grammar points and kanji from text.
I had the opportunity to make up sentences from based on the grammar points we discussed.
