My name is Thu.I'm a Vietnamese native speaker who was born and grew up in Hanoi's Old Quarter.Therefore, Northern Vietnamese is the dialect I'm most comfortable with. But I'm also familiar with the Southern dialect as I'd lived in Ho Chi Minh City for a year.
Languages are for communicating with other people, and should always be taught and learnt in a fun manner.
I am not only a teacher,but am also an ongoing student as I really love travelling and learning new languages. I'd worked in the hospitality industry as an executive butler and a concierge supervisor at five-star hotels in Hanoi for 6 years,and was already teaching Vietnamese to my guests long before I started teaching online.Moi en tant que professeur
I've always loved learning and teaching new languages.Other than my native Vietnamese, I also know English and Mandarin Chinese.Learning Chinese has helped me to empathise with students learning language.
When I was working in the hotels, I was already helping my clients and guests to learn Vietnamese for their business needs or just to make their vacations more pleasant and comfortable.
For the past 3 years, I've been teaching many students,online and in person,the Vietnamese language and they hail from every part of the world, from the United States, to Europe, to here in Asia.Most of my students are able to communicate with me fluently (according to their needs and goals) in VietnameseMes leçons et ma méthode d'enseignement
Don’t be shy when conversing with me in Vietnamese during our lessons. Our lessons are a safe place for you to speak and experiment without fear of ridicule. The best way to learn a language is to practice it, and when you have a mentor to kindly correct your mistakes and encourage you when you do well, the learning journey is so much more enjoyable.
My students can talk about their daily life, their big life stories, or anything under the sun, and if they have difficulties expressing themselves, I gently nudge and prompt them with the suitable Vietnamese words and phrases. The idea is to get my students talking without fear and just get used to using Vietnamese in their conversations.Mes ressources d'enseignement

Thu is the best teacher i have had on Italki in any language. She is not only great at teaching but works well to adapt to your individual learning styleIf you like customized notes she types amazingly fast and makes updates before her lessons. She really works hard for her money and has a great personality. Its amazing how far she has taken me i really feel i can speak a language i once thought was impossible.

Great lesson with Thu! We started with some small talk. Thu made sure to use the vocabulary and grammar from last lesson. We learned about the days of the week and months of the year. We also learned a grammar point about things that are about to happen. It was a very fun lesson with Thu and I learned a lot of useful things!

Great lesson with Thu! We started with some casual conversation. After that, we learned/reviewed how to ask "when will" and "when did" questions. I understood many of the questions, which was good. Thu helped me out with an explanation or definition when I got stuck, which she always does in a very positive way!

Great lesson with Thu! We started with some small talk. Then we continued learning about telling time. After that, we learned adverbs of frequency and did exercises using the new adverbs. Thu always has a good balance between review and new material!
