I've been teaching English for 20 years. What I find works best is on the spot correction. I don't want my students to make the same mistakes over and over without ever being corrected. Otherwise, they will be studying English their entire lives and still be making the same mistakes. I write down my students mistakes in the chat box so they can study it on their free time and I correct them while they are speaking so they get into the habit of hearing it said the right way.
