Since becoming a TEFL teacher, I've worked for a charity that teaches English to refugees and asylum seekers, I've taught private English lessons online and I've also worked in a boarding school where "English as an Additional Language" was part of the curriculum. There, I assisted another EAL teacher, taught 1-to-1 lessons, small group lessons and led full-class lessons when the main teacher was unable to do so. After this, over the summer, I was the EAL co-ordinator for a summer school. This involved providing resources and giving help to less experienced teachers at the camp, and resolving any issues that arose in the teaching department.
