My students are mostly adults and generally able to speak my native language. My intention as a tutor is to help those who wish to improve their skills in the Portuguese language, exclusively those from the level A2 onwards. No improvised BLA-BLA-BLA as a lots of inexperienced teachers/ tutors do ! For good results, I used to split an hour in 20 min of chatting, 20 min of reading and interpreting and then 20 min of chatting based on in what we've just read and argued about. That's the right way to give constant increasing . I like to use many different resources in my lessons. In this way I support my students with the best in new tendencies regarding to learning a new language.

Over the years, in my university experience, I had the chance to teach Portuguese to colleagues from several countries, such as United States, Mexico, Spain, Lithuania and El Salvador. All of them had an impressive progress on their Portuguese skills, as well as expanded their knowledge about Brazilian culture. I also have experience teaching Biology at a pre-college course.

Details are very important to me, so I tend to focus on them; things such as pronunciation, accent mark( if we are writing ), sentence structure are very important. I like to correct without interrupting so I usually let my students finish their sentence before giving them a tip.
