Proofreading Service

I received a 'Pass' certification assessment in a 175 CELTA course in Montañita Ecuador during a 5 week period.

I obtained a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration on Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in order to enrich my pedagogic capabilities, better understand the process of language acquisition, learn and employ other methods and approaches in language teaching, and to further dedicate myself to my career as a language instructor.

My pre-graduate studies focused on the use of language as a communicative tool in mass media, journalism, radio, television and cinema. I also obtained a Minor in Hispanic Studies.

I worked as a conversation teacher to Ecuadorian language learners of all levels and ages, which provided me with a wide array of classroom experiences. Because of the relaxed and communicative focus of the courses, we were able to have fun while learning developing fruitful student-teacher connections, which is my professional objective as an italki teacher.

This experience will help me guide and engage students who are tasked with taking the FCE for Schools exam (CEFR: B2) because I know how to make the course materials interesting, relevant to the students' context and objectives, authentic, challenging and enjoyable with the creative use of games and activities.

University teaching demands dedication to the teaching craft, a high degree of professionalism and consistent practice of sound pedagogical approaches to instruction. Teaching at UDEP undoubtedly enriched my understanding of what it means to be a teacher and helped me recognize the challenges that students ages 16-22 face by balancing their studies, work, and personal circumstances. The CBLT approach is a student-centered teaching approach where the focus is on what learners are expected to DO with the language. In other words, mastering how to navigate situations like socializing with people on vacation, confronting a noisy neighbour, enquiring about a product/service, or even asking someone out on a date! 

For young learners, lesson themes could include how to discuss your hobbies in detail, weekend adventures with friends, responsibility, and/or future plans like getting a summer job. This lesson type is suitable for students at all language levels who are interested in improving their spoken English.  


In our classes, the focus is on mastering the language you will need in order to feel confident tackling daily situations in English. If you are the type of student who prefers to learn from grammar books or who priorities mastering grammar terminology over functional language, we may not be the best fit. But, if you are the type of student who would like to practise using English for real-life situations, I look forward to meeting you in class!

English Lessons Specific to Your Level

1.) Beginner: All ages will learn the basics of English. This is a fun and easy course. All ages, 1-81 will learn. Each lesson is specifically adjusted to the speed of the student. Words, pictures, videos, songs, vocabulary, spelling, pronunciation, memorization and more. One of my students wrote "My son had another amazing lesson with her. She knows how to introduce new words while keeping a lesson fun and engaging." From beginner to advanced student, the journey is exciting!

2.) Intermediate: Comprehension, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Pronunciation, Fluency, Spelling, Accurate Reading, Adjectives, Synonyms, Antonyms, Idioms, Native English Expressions, Conversational English, Paraphrasing, Role Playing and describing situations. Students will learn through a well-organized method of instruction. This course is for students who have a basic understanding of English and are ready to put the words together to form meaningful sentences and conversations. Accent training, and pronunciation will be adjusted for each student. It is encouraging, fun, and energetic learning which will use every part of the mind. 

3.) Advanced: Students speak English like a native after this course. Learning expressions that native English speakers regularly use is vital for good relations. English speakers use idioms such as:  "Ace in the hole, Get a move on, and Laugh all the way to the bank." When a student expresses with confidence and in an accurate manner, others will listen. This Advanced English course will refine, adjust and improve all areas. Students will be able to enter into any English speaking country and conduct business, attend Universities, and even speak to large audiences. Students who are looking to take their English to the top level and are looking for kind, honest adjustments will benefit greatly from this course.

Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced

We will be practicing casual conversation in a fun and engaging way. We will practicing talking about common and popular topics along with talking about things in the past and future to help with proper grammar tense use. I am looking forward to speaking with you!

This intensive course trained me to be able to teach any level of students using proven neuroscience techniques.

I have been teaching on italki over the last 3 months and I have gained experience with a variety of students including children and beginners. It has helped me learn to adapt to each student and their needs. Also I have learned to determine each student's strengths and help them know how to use those while learning a language. I have also been traveling and while traveling I have been able to help those I have met to enhance their English skills using some of the techniques I have learned.
