In a trial lesson you can choose a topic from three options below.

【Topic A 】 Exchange greetings, thank someone or apologize, and ask how to say something in Japanese in real-life situations. 
会社（かいしゃ）の人や ともだちに あいさつを したり、おれいを いったり、あやまったりする練習（れんしゅう）を します。日本語（にほんご）で どういうか、わからないときの言い方（いいかた）も 勉強（べんきょう）します。
 -おれいをいう：to say thank you
 -あやまる: to apologize

【Topic B】What Japanese food do you like?
すし、ラーメン、てんぷら、そば、あなたが すきな にほんの たべものは、なんですか？

【Topic C (B1-B2 level)】 Order food at a Japanese set-meal restaurant 
日本の定食屋（ていしょくや=set-meal restaurant）に行った（いった）つもりで、注文（ちゅうもん）する練習（れんしゅう）をしましょう。メニューに出て（でて）くる言葉（ことば）も勉強（べんきょう）します。

-In the trial lesson I'd like to talk about your goal, your favorite learning style or the textbook you'd like to learn, etc.
・トライアルレッスンでは、あなたが日本語（にほんご）を使って（つかって）どんなことができるようになりたいか、いっしょに はなしましょう。
・日本語（にほんご）の学習歴（がくしゅうれき=educational background）や、つかっている教科書（きょうかしょ=textbook you have learned）があれば、おしえてください。
・わからないことがあれば、なんでも きいてください。

【Goal】かんたんな日本語（にほんご）で、はなしたいことが いえるようになる！

 【Materials】『いろどり　生活（せいかつ）の日本語（にほんご）』（国際交流基金）
The basis of this course is the online Japanese coursebook "Irodori : Japanese for Life in Japan" developed by the Japan Foundation. Download the materials for free.
・"Irodori” is made up of three parts: Starter (A1), Elementary 1 (A2), and Elementary 2 (A2). 
・Each has 9 topics, and are organized into 18 lessons.
・The suggested time for each lesson is around 150 to 180 minutes.

【目的】
・日本でくらしたり（living）、旅行（りょこう）したり(traveling)するときに 役（やく）に立つ（たつ、useful）日本語を勉強します。
・特（とく）に(Especially)、「話す力（はなすちから、Speaking）」、「聞く力（きくちから、Listening）」を伸ばし（のばし）ます。そのために必要な（ひつような）文法（ぶんぽう、Grammar）も復習（ふくしゅう、review）します。

【教材（きょうざい、materials）】
・国際交流基金（こくさいこうりゅうききん、The Japan Foudation）の『いろどり　生活（せいかつ）の日本語（にほんご）: Irodori』を使（つか）って、初級（しょきゅう）の文法（ぶんぽう、grammar）を復習（ふくしゅう）して、日本の習慣（しゅうかん、custom）についても勉強します。
・話す力（ちから,skills）や聞く力を伸（の）ばすために『まるごと（Marugoto）中級（ちゅうきゅう）１、中級２（Intermediate, B1）』（国際交流基金）なども使（つか）います。

【レッスンの進め方：how to lead the lesson】
・日本語は、話す相手（あいて、conversation partner）や状況（じょうきょう、situaitions）によって、話し方（speech style）が ちがいます。
自分（じぶん）が話せても、相手（あいて）の話すことが分からなければ、コミュニケーションは、うまくいきません。
・レッスンでは、会社（かいしゃ）の人（ひと）、家族（かぞく）、友だち同士（どうし）など、いろいろな会話（かいわ）の例（れい）をたくさん聞いて、話す練習をします。
・会話（かいわ）をつづけるためのストラテジー（strategy）も練習（れんしゅう）します。
・あなたが話したいことを簡単（かんたん）に言えるように、たくさん話します。
・レッスンの後（あと）に、復習（ふくしゅう）のためのメモをＰＤＦで送（おく）ります。
・希望者（きぼうしゃ）には、宿題（しゅくだい）を用意（ようい）します。

【レッスンのCan-doの例（れい）: examples of can-dos in the lessons】

①Can understand the name and role, etc. of staff members at your new job when they're introduced to you.

・最低（さいてい）週１~２回、１年から２年かけて、JLPTのＮ３に合格（ごうかく）できるように、じっくり、ゆっくり勉強(べんきょう）したい人（ひと）のためのコースです。
This course works for those who want to take  the JLPT (N4 or N3) and can take the lesson at least once or twice a week for a couple of years. 
・自分（じぶん）で『げんき』や『みんなの日本語』で勉強（べんきょう）していて、動詞（どうし=verbs）や形容詞（けいようし=adjectives）の活用（かつよう=conjugation）が すらすら いえるようになりたい、日本語をはなす練習（れんしゅう）をもっとしたい！という人（ひと）にも おすすめです。
・あなたが『げんき』や『みんなの日本語』で勉強（べんきょう）したことを、かいもの（shopping）や外食（がいしょく=eating out）、旅行（りょこう=trip）、あそび（=hanging out）など、実際の場面（じっさいの ばめん＝real situations）で つかえるように たくさん練習（れんしゅう=practice）します。
