Hey everyone! Today we are talking about success and being in control of your life. These are important phrasal verbs! Here are all the examples we had today: Owen was being insulted by some other boys, but he stood up for himself and told them to go away. You’ve got to stand up for yourself if your boss is being mean to you. Pull yourself together Max! You don’t need to be so angry about losing your wallet! Earlier today I was very annoyed because the air conditioning stopped working in my car. Then I pulled myself together and decided not to be upset anymore. Get yourself together Adam! It’s time to move out of your parents’ basement and start living your life! After my brain injury it took me a couple years to get myself together again. Alright Eric, keep it together, the air conditioning isn’t working and it’s hot out and now the car won’t even start. But keep it together! Stay calm. If I tell you to keep it up, I mean I want you to keep succeeding! Don’t give up!
