孔融是汉朝有名的文学家，他六七岁的时候就聪明过人。许多有才学的大官出各种各样的难题考他，都没有把他难住。有一次，孔融参加了一个宴会。在宴会上，孔融机智地回答了几个人出的难题，受到在场官员的称赞。大家都说他长大后一定有出息。有一位大官见众人都捧这个六七岁的孩子，心里很不服气，便对大家说：“依我看，小时候聪明的人，长大以后不一定聪明。”孔融听了，马上接过话来，对他说：“我想，您小时候一定非常聪明。”

On the high-speed train, an old man accidentally dropped one of his newly bought shoes from the window, which made everyone around feel very sorry. 
Unexpectedly, the old man threw another shoe out of the window. His behavior surprised the people around him. 
At this time, the old man explained with a smile, "the remaining shoe, no matter how good, how expensive, and how suitable for me, is of no use to me. If I throw it out, someone may pick up a pair of shoes, maybe he can still wear it!"

二人の若い紳士しんしが、すっかりイギリスの兵隊のかたちをして、ぴかぴかする鉄砲てっぽうをかついで、白熊しろくまのような犬を二疋ひきつれて、だいぶ山奥やまおくの、木の葉のかさかさしたとこを、こんなことを云いいながら、あるいておりました。
「ぜんたい、ここらの山は怪けしからんね。鳥も獣けものも一疋も居やがらん。なんでも構わないから、早くタンタアーンと、やって見たいもんだなあ。」
「鹿しかの黄いろな横っ腹なんぞに、二三発お見舞みまいもうしたら、ずいぶん痛快だろうねえ。くるくるまわって、それからどたっと倒たおれるだろうねえ。」
　それはだいぶの山奥でした。案内してきた専門の鉄砲打ちも、ちょっとまごついて、どこかへ行ってしまったくらいの山奥でした。
　それに、あんまり山が物凄ものすごいので、その白熊のような犬が、二疋いっしょにめまいを起こして、しばらく吠うなって、それから泡あわを吐はいて死んでしまいました。
「じつにぼくは、二千四百円の損害だ」と一人の紳士が、その犬の眼まぶたを、ちょっとかえしてみて言いました。
「ぼくは二千八百円の損害だ。」と、もひとりが、くやしそうに、あたまをまげて言いました。
　はじめの紳士は、すこし顔いろを悪くして、じっと、もひとりの紳士の、顔つきを見ながら云いました。
「ぼくはもう戻もどろうとおもう。」
「さあ、ぼくもちょうど寒くはなったし腹は空すいてきたし戻ろうとおもう。」
「そいじゃ、これで切りあげよう。なあに戻りに、昨日きのうの宿屋で、山鳥を拾円じゅうえんも買って帰ればいい。」
「兎うさぎもでていたねえ。そうすれば結局おんなじこった。では帰ろうじゃないか」
　ところがどうも困ったことは、どっちへ行けば戻れるのか、いっこうに見当がつかなくなっていました。
　風がどうと吹ふいてきて、草はざわざわ、木の葉はかさかさ、木はごとんごとんと鳴りました。

今日は、ウェルカムSuicaについて、お話します。

まず、Suicaとは、ICカードのことです。
お金をチャージすることができます。

Suicaでバスや電車に、乗ることができます。

コンビニやスーパーで、お金を払(はら)うこともできます。

SuicaはJRがつくっていますが、
日本のどの電車でも、使うことができます。

カードをつくるときは、500円のデポジットが必要(ひつよう)です。


では、ウェルカムSuicaとは何でしょうか？

これは、ふつうのSuicaとちがうところが、3つあります。

まず、一つ目(ひとつめ)。

ウェルカムSuicaは、
500円のデポジットが必要(ひつよう)ありません。

お金をかけずに、カードをつくることができます。
これは旅行をするとき、とてもいいですね。

二つ目(ふたつめ)は、買うことができる場所は決まっています。

ふつうのSuicaは駅で買うことができます。

ウェルカムSuicaは、空港で買うことができます。

今は、東京の、
羽田空港(はねだくうこう)と
成田空港(なりたくうこう)だけです。

大阪や福岡では買うことができません。

実は、いまカードが足りていません。

カードがとても少ないです。

なので、買うことができる場所が、
空港だけ、なんですね。

これはちょっと悲(かな)しいですね。

3つ目は、使うことができるのは、28日間だけです。

Suicaには、このような期限はありません。
ずっと使うことができます。

ウェルカムSuicaは28日間だけです。
でも、けっこう長いですね。

ウェルカムSuicaは、
ふつうのSuicaとデザインがちがいます。

桜がとてもすてきなデザインです。

日本に旅行に来るときは、
ウェルカムSuica、
ぜひ、しらべてみて下さい。
