はい、こんにちは洋平先生です。え、今日はみんなの日本語の24課の「～てもらう」の話をしたいです。えー、よくある間違えを言いますね。間違いではないんですけど、とても不自然な文を言います。
・美容院（びよういん）に行きました。その美容院のスタッフは、私のかみを切りました。
 
うん、これは文法的（ぶんぽうてき）にパーフェクトです。 うん、正しい日本語ですが、日本人は言いませんね。これはちょっとおかしな文です で、えー、日本人がどう言うかというと、
・美容院に行って、髪を切ってもらいました
 
これが自然ですね、はい。で、どうしてそう言うかというと、2つ理由があって、日本語は主語（しゅご）subjectですね、主語をあまり変えない方がいいんですね。
「”わたしは”　美容院に行きました。”スタッフは”　かみを切りました」
 
ちょっとこれが変なんですよね。ですから、そうしないために『美容院に行って、 かみを切ってもらいました』、ということもあるんですけども、もう1つは”何かをお願（ねが）いして、何かをたのんで、それを相手がした時”に「～てもらいました」を使います。
で、みんなの日本語の24課でえー、「何々ってもらう」、これは、何か親切なことをしてもらった時や何か感謝（かんしゃ）をしなければいけない時に使うと習ったんですね。で、それは正解（せいかい）です。 
うん、うん。で、美容院に行って、かみを切ってもらいました。これは、感謝（かんしゃ）することなんで、えー、そう言ってもいいんですけども、お金を払ったのは私ですよね。ですから、感謝をしなければいけないのかな、 ということもあるんですよね。で、そこでいえーこの文法のいい覚え方が、 あ、自分の頼んだことを相手がした時に使うと覚えるといいと思います。
うん、他にもえー、
・車の修理工場へ行って、車を直してもらった。
・病院へ行って、 医者に見てもらった。
・日本語教室へ行って、日本語を教えてもらった。
 
などいう事ができますよね。はい、オッケーですか。で、もう1つお話したいことがあるんですけども、「かみを切りました」、ちょっとこれが特殊（とくしゅ）な動詞なんですよ。 
えー、じゃあ、
「今日私かみを切った」
 
これを聞いて、今みなさんどう思いましたか。「え、自分で切ったんですか？」「あなたが自分で切ったんですか？？」と思いませんでしたか、えっとですね、例えば、 「きのう美容院へ行ってかみを切ったんだよ」うん、これはですね、自分で切っていなくても言えることなんです。美容院のスタッフがかみを切ったとしても、よく日本人は「かみを切りました」と言います。ですから、「あなたがかみを切りました」で、学校へ行きます。会社へ行きます で、みんなが言います。みんながあなたに言います。「おお、かみを切りましたか」、 「お、髪切った？」であなたは答えます。「うん、切ったよ」「うん。かみを切りましたよ」
はい、これは自分で切ったという意味じゃないんですね。そういう意味にもなるんですけど、ほとんどの場合は、美容院のスタッフが切った、ということなんですよ。 
え、”かみを切りました”。
こういう使い方もできるということを覚えといてください。

＃12　「髪（かみ）を切りました」は特殊（とくしゅ）なフレーズ？

In part 2 of your IELTS test you have to speak on a topic for 2 minutes. Here are three things you should do in your one minute preparation time. 

1.Make a note of synonyms. Paraphrasing is an important skill to master when taking your IELTS exam. In fact, if you want to score a band score 6, you have to be able to generally paraphrase successfully. If you want a band score 7, you have to be able to paraphrase effectively. 

2. Think about idioms. Idioms are very important if you want to score above band score 6. To get band score 7, you have to use some less common idiomatic expressions. That’s a tricky thing to wrap your head around. Using idioms are extremely important. If you use idioms more than once in a blue moon, you will have a greater chance of achieving a band score 7. This is just a stab in the dark, but I expect most students would like to achieve a band score 7.

3. Think about connectives - linking words. Discourse markers are also important and will help you to move through the subheadings on your card smoothly and effortlessly. Phrase like “Now let me tell you about” or “Now I’d like to explain why…” or “let me tell you the reason why I….” will make your English speaking sound natural and fluent.

3 strategies to help you in part 2 of your speaking test.

So, what exactly is a Mistake Book? It’s a notebook where you log your language mistakes using a structured approach. Each page is divided into three columns:
•	Column 1: The Mistake – Write down the mistake exactly as you made it, whether it’s in speaking, writing, or grammar.
•	Column 2: The Correction – This is where you write the correct version of the sentence or phrase.
•	Column 3: The Explanation – Briefly explain why it’s a mistake. Keep it concise—just enough to remind you of the rule or reason behind the correction.
For example, if you wrote “I have went to the store” instead of “I have gone to the store,” the explanation might be: "Use the past participle ‘gone’ instead of ‘went’.’"

Habit stacking in a business context is a behavioral technique for integrating desired routines into existing workflows. By capitalizing on the automatic nature of existing habits, the cue to perform the target behavior becomes ingrained, increasing its adoption and persistence. Habit stacking can be used to improve individual productivity (e.g., streamlining post-meeting follow-ups) or foster team-level behavioral change (e.g., implementing a daily huddle for information sharing). The effectiveness of this technique hinges on selecting appropriate trigger habits – frequent, consistent actions with minimal cognitive load. Additionally, target habits should be small, achievable actions to ensure successful integration and minimize disruption to existing workflows. Through repetition and positive reinforcement, habit stacking strengthens the association between the trigger and target behavior, ultimately leading to the desired routine becoming an automatic part of the workday.
