I used to listen to English podcasts repeatedly to improve my English listening skill. I played some podcasts at double speed, and it works for me. Once I used to double rate, I could catch words more before. I’m playing these at average speed, though; I’d like to try that sometime.

I used to listen to English podcasts repeatedly to improve my English listening skill. I played some podcasts at double speed, and it worked for me. Once I got used to the double speed, I could catch words more than before. I’m playing these at average speed, though; I’d like to try that sometime.
English podcasts are a great way to practice listening. 😊 I think the last sentence can be: "I'd like to try playing them at average speed sometime."
