Lessons per week
New to italki - generally, how many lessons per week are recommended... I was considering 1 lesson per week.

Depends on how much you study on your own. I'd say you need at least 4 hours total study time per week to make any meaningful progress. More the better. But if you study a lot on your own, one lesson per week with a teacher can be enough. Two may be better though, especially if you are not self thought but mostly rely on a teacher to guide you.

If you are a self-taught person, one lesson per week is enough. Well, this presupposes that you work almost everyday (min. 30-45 min) on the language.
If you need guidance by a teacher, then the teacher should keep you busy with homework, and you would IMHO need at least 3 lessons a week.
