Haare Haare Haare,Hum to Dil se haare
Haare Haare Haare,Hum to Dil se haare
Hi I am trying to translate this Bollywood song literally i.e., break it down as a learning aid.
I would appreciate any help on the first six lines I have attempted to translate/breakdown. First I found the lyrics in Roman script – unfortunately I could not find them in Devanagari – then tried to translate it quite loosely. Finally, I have broken each line down word by word.
Any corrections and feedback would be much appreciated.
1) Teri Yaad Mein Pagal Pal Pal Rota Hai / In your memory it (heart) mad/crazy one , cries every moment = I miss you/remember you like crazy / (my heart) cries every moment
तेरी thy /your याद miss/recall/remember में (mem) in /at/on/into
पागल (pagala) insane crazy पल (pala) moment /second = पल पल every moment रोता (rota) cry/wail
तेरी याद में पागल पल पल रोता है Tērī yāda mēṁ pāgala pala pala rōtā hai
correctly translated.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2) Bin Tere Na Jaagey Ye Na Sota Hai / Without you it neither awakes nor sleeps
बिना तेरा न जागे न सोता है Binā tērā na jāgē na sōtā hai
बिना bina without न (na) neither/nor जागे (Jāgē) wake/awake/conscious सोता (Sōtā) sleeps/fountain?
correctly translated.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3) Aksar Tanhai Mein Tujhe Pukare / In tension(?) it calls out to you
अक्सर (aksara) often/frequently तन्हाई (tanhai) lonliness/sorrow/blackness/ isolation
तुझे (Tujhe) Thee/to you पुकारा (Pukara) call /hailed/referred
Aksar Tanhai Mein Tujhe Pukare / Often in loneliness it calls out to you.

4) Na Zor Dil Pe Chale / My will does not work now on my heart
न जोर (right- ज़ोर) दिल पे चले
correctly translated.
जोर (jora NOT zor?) loud/emphasis दिल (Dila) heart पे (pe) on/ at/ pay? चले (cale) away /go/out
it is zor(ज़ोर).
5) हारे hare lost X 3
correct.
6) Hum To Dil Se Haare - I have lost to my heart
हम (hama – should be HUM? HUM is the 'standard' spelling if you say so :D, doesnt matter. हम is correct and that matters) तो (to) then/so/if दिल (dila heart) से (se from/by/of/than) हारे (hare – lost).
very well translated.
