To make bitter gourd juice, I first sliced a gourd, and then I put the slices into a blender. Gourds are actually not in season right now, so it was a bit dry. Because there wasn't much juice after processing it, I put a thick layer of mashed gourd on my daughter’s inflamed skin, on both the face and neck, in order to abate her eczema. At first she said it felt cool and soothing, but then she said she felt itchy. I asked her to endure it for a minute in order to let the gourd do its work. After a little while, the itching ceased. We waited for about half an hour, and then I took it off her face and neck. The redness on the skin had greatly subsided, so my daughter was happy and hopeful. I then blended more bitter gourd and squeezed out a small amount of juice for later use.
