They essentially share the same meaning. However, there are differences. grip: hold tightly, eg "a drowning swimmer now safely in the grip of a lifeguard" -- He could drown again, if he had not gripped the lifeguard. grasp: apart from the meaning of "grip", it also means learning something intellectually. eg, Sonneblume graps some grammatical rules of English. sieze: We usually say "sieze some opportunities". Turn to an English-English dictionary for help, and you could find it easier to learn the differences between words. BTW, could any natives help if 'among' is correct in the sentence 'What's the different among "grip","grasp","seize","grap".'?

A "grip" is the strength of your hand. You can shake someone's hand with a weak grip or a strong grip. You can have a good grip on something so you won't fall. You might have such a strong grip that you hurt someone when you take a hold on him. You "grasp" something when you reach out to take it. If you grasp it firmly, it won't slip out of your hand. You "seize" something when you reach out and grab it. You take it from someone. You usually "seize" someone or something by violent force. You grab something when you take it away from someone by force. (not grap).

If you don't mind my correction a bit, I would say the better way to phrase the question would be: "What's the difference between "grip","grasp","seize" and "grap".

Grip and grasp essentially have the same meaning whether used as a verb (with or without an object) or a noun. Just depends on the context to know which one to particularly use. Examples: "He has a strong grip." "We gripped the sides of the boat as the waves tossed us about. " "I don't grasp your meaning." "He took her in his grasp." Seize mainly means "to take possession". "to seize enemy ships." "to seize smuggled goods." Grap is not a word.
