내리다 vs. 떨어지다
What's the difference between these two verbs? Examples are always appreciated! 고맙습니다.

We usually use "내리다" just for raining or snowing like 하늘에서 비가 내리다.
떨어지다 is generally used describing the situation that someting is dropping to somewhere.
연필이 바닥으로 떨어지다.
Exceptively, you can say 떨어지다 for raining when you use the word "raindrops"
하늘에서 빗방울이 떨어지다.
