Motorcycles- This is what you typically think of when you hear motor and cycle in the same word. They are in a separate category because of the size of the engine, which also means that they are typically faster than other "motorized cycles, etc.) Motor-driven cycles - These have a smaller engine than motorcycles, thus being able to reach a lower top speed. These are not something that would be ideal for racing. Scooters and mopeds are part of this category. Three-wheeled motorcycles - "Motorcycles" can only have two wheels. Sometimes, motorcycle riders use a sidecar that is attached to the motorcycle, but since it is not actually a part of the motorcycle itself, any motorcycle-looking vehicle with three wheels is in this category. Usually they are off-roading vehicles. Just picture a motorcycle with three wheels that is tough enough to go up a steep hill and drive through mud, etc. Three-wheeled vehicles - These are not motorcycles. You have probably seen these little cars before without even realizing it. They are extremeley small compact cars that can fit into a parking space that is half the size of a normal car. Many of them are electric or extremely fuel efficient.
