Advice = adjective. U always take advice. People give good advice on this site. Its nice to give advise (verb). It always comes FREE. Suggest = to put forward an idea. For example " your question suggests, u r sincere in learning. (Am I right ?) Suggestion is put forward to superior. Clerk suggests something to his boss. On the contrary Advice is given by Superior to junior. Boss advises his subordinates. Boss gives advice to his lower level worker etc. Is that clear to U ? Please feel free to contact if u want any further explanation. Thanks, take care

Both of these talk about the situation that you are in. "Advice" is where you are talking about a situation and then the ideas that you talk about are often a little bit less specific than a suggestion. But both are OK to use, there is not much difference between "advice" and "suggestion". Other people will still understand what you mean. "Suggest" is the action where you make a suggestion about what a person can do in the situation.

I think you're thinking of: advise vs. suggest. They are very similar. Advice or Suggestion. Very similar.
